Easy Himalayan Pink Salt Scrub

Hello there and thank you so much for taking the time to explore my writings. Today I'm going to tell you how to make an easy, versatile, salt scrub using himalayan pink salt! Please read the entire post before deciding to use this scrub. Its important that you know exactly what your using on your skin. The writer of this blog is not responsible for any side effects that may occur from using this formula. For those who are taking medication, seek the prescribing doctors approval prior to using any of my formulas. Now I'm going to give a brief description of these lovely pink granules.

So what is this beautiful pink salt? It is a type of rock salt that comes from the Punjab region of Pakistan which is close to the Himalayas. This salt comes from mines approximately 5000 feet deep below the Himalayan Mountains. It is believed by many to be 99% pure. However, this is not proven by scientific data. Trace minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium give the salt its pink color. So why is it used for our skin? It has the ability to detoxify and balance the skin's natural acidic ph. In addition, it helps to remove dead skin cells leaving smooth skin.

This formula yields an awesome exfoliating paste! I use it once weekly on my face, hands, and feet. It leaves my skin smooth and radiant! It can be used on the face or body.  However, it should not in any circumstances be applied to sensitive and or irritated skin. You will need the following.

                                                 1/8 cup     Himalayan Pink Salt

                                                 1/4 tspn    Castor Oil

                                                 1  Tbsp    Sweet Almond Oil

                                                 1 drop      Vitamin E Oil

                                                 1 drop      Polysorbate 80 (optional)

Mix all ingredients to form a paste. It will look like this
Apply to moist skin using upward gentle circular motion for approximately 30 seconds then rinse with warm water. The polysorbate 80 is not absolutely necessary. Leaving it out will cause the paste not to rinse off as well. Those of you who try this formula let me know what you think! I hope you love it as much as I do! Please leave a comment with any questions or concerns. I appreciate all of you who take the time to read my writings.

Hello dear readers! Today I'm going to tell you how to make your very own 1% hyaluronic acid serum. This formula yields 30mls of serum. It will save you tons of money! So what exactly is this hyaluronic acid? I'm going to tell you just that; and why it is such a staple ingredient in skin care products. Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccaride found throughout our body cells. It is a powerful moisture binding agent that regulates moisture levels in the skin, and provides cushion for our joints and eyes. It holds 1000 times its weight in water. In addition, it is responsible for skin elasticity, fullness, and suppleness.  It is present in large amounts during our youth. Unfortunetly it slowly declines as we age. This is one reason aging skin can be dry. Using a topical HA serum twice daily can dramatically improve skin texture and moisture levels. This ingredient is ideal for oily and sensitive types. It is very gentle. Now a note about terminology. There are two different fo
